Hiring for position: SoC Security Architect

Tortuga Logic, an System-on-Chip (SoC) level cybersecurity company, is seeking a SoC Security Architect for our Silicon Valley office. This individual will work closely with our R&D team, field team and customers in the development and delivery of unique & innovative products to address the growing need for secure SoC designs. At Tortuga Logic, our goal is to help the world’s leading SoC design companies identify security vulnerabilities at the hardware/software boundary. Our proprietary technology pinpoints expensive security bugs in SoC silicon prior to tapeout.

As SoC Security Architect, you will be tasked with building out security threat models to drive the validation and definition of our products. As part of the R&D engineering team, you will be integral to the specification and qualification of our existing and emerging products. You will become the security expert for our products, and consequently assist the field applications engineers and our customers in the successful deployment of our products. 

Our products identify security vulnerabilities in modern SoC designs. Your familiarity with the architectures, IP, and software configurations (such as a secure boot) are essential. Additionally, your knowledge of verification methodologies is a plus, but not a requirement. You should be an expert in security concepts including cryptographic algorithms and protocols, software authentication, secure hardware configurations, and secure boot processes.

Your primary responsibility will be to drive security use models for our products, interface with security professionals in the industry, and drive new product features for the internal R&D teams. The role is primarily technical and internal, but there will be occasional travel to conferences or to meet with customers.

Necessary qualifications:

  • Expert level engineer with a minimum of 10 years of proficiency in SoC security architecture including planning, threat modeling, and past experiencing interfacing with hardware verification and design teams.

  • Deep knowledge in one or several of the following technical areas:  cryptography (protocols and widely used algorithms), secure boot, software authentication, threat modeling, penetration testing, or hardware fuzz testing.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelors (MS or PhD preferred) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent field

  • Experience with SoC security architecture planning and threat assessment.

  • Experience interfacing with internal hardware verification and design teams

  • Deep knowledge in Computer Security or familiarity with Computer Security topics

 

Hiring for position: Field Applications Engineer, USA

Tortuga Logic, an SoC level cybersecurity company is seeking a Field Applications Engineer for our Silicon Valley office, to work closely with our R&D team and customers in the deployment of unique & innovative products to address the growing need for secure SoC designs. At Tortuga Logic, our goal is to help the world’s leading SoC design companies to identify security vulnerabilities at the hardware/software boundary. Our proprietary technology will pinpoint potentially expensive security bugs in SoC silicon before tapeout.

As a Field Application Engineer you will work closely with our customers on specific chip design projects, support our customers’ use of our products and represent our customer as the interface to R&D. This role has elements of pre and post sales technical support. Travel and extended on-site engagement will be required.

Our products co-exist with all traditional EDA design tools. Your familiarity with simulation, formal verification, and emulation tool flows and RTL standards is essential. Additionally, your knowledge of SoC architecture and verification methodologies is a plus. You do not need to be an expert in security concepts, but you will become one.

Your primary responsibility will be pre-sales product evaluations and post-sales product deployment on-site at our key accounts. As the liaison between our development team and our customers, you will interpret and consolidate feedback to prioritize and direct R&D efforts.  Additionally, you will help to develop value added collateral such as customer product presentations, application notes, and product training material. 

Necessary qualifications:

  • Expert level engineer with a minimum of 10 years of proficiency in SoC design (Verilog/VHDL/SystemVerilog) or verification methodologies and technologies
  • Proficiency with RTL verification tools such as Simulation and Emulation products from Synopsys, Cadence, and Mentor
  • Track record of a driven desire to help customers achieve their verification goals
  • Willing to travel to work with clients
  • Excellent presentation and communications skills
  • Deep knowledge in one or several of the following technical areas:  Digital Design, Emulation, FPGA-based Prototyping, Simulation, Functional coverage, IP and SOC design, key protocols (AMBA, USB, PCIe, USB, Ethernet, etc…)

Tortuga Logic, an SoC level cybersecurity company is seeking a Corporate Applications Engineer for our Silicon Valley office, to work closely with our R&D team, field team and customers in the development and delivery of unique & innovative products to address the growing need for secure SoC designs. At Tortuga Logic, our goal is to help the world’s leading SoC design companies to identify security vulnerabilities at the hardware/software boundary. Our proprietary technology will pinpoint potentially expensive security bugs in SoC silicon before tapeout.

Our corporate applications engineering team is tasked with validating the tools and flows as we are developing them. As part of the R&D engineering team, you will be integral to the specification and qualification of our existing and emerging products.  You will become the product expert and consequently assist the field applications engineers and our customers in the successful deployment of our products. 

Our products co-exist with all traditional EDA design tools. Your familiarity with simulation, formal verification, and emulation tool flows and RTL standards is essential. Additionally, your knowledge of SoC architecture and verification methodologies is a plus. You do not need to be an expert in security concepts, but you will become one.

Your primary responsibility will be to help specify test requirements and implement test content and infrastructure to ensure we can predictably and reliably deliver high quality production releases. As the liaison between our development team and our customers and field applications engineers, you will interpret and consolidate feedback to prioritize and direct R&D efforts.  Additionally, you will help to develop value added collateral such as application notes, product training material and product documentation.  There will be occasional travel to work with clients and/or our other offices.

Necessary qualifications:

  • Expert level engineer with a minimum of 10 years of proficiency in SoC design (Verilog/VHDL/SystemVerilog) or verification methodologies and technologies

Our software development team is tasked with the development of the software applications that deploy our Tortuga Logic technology to analyze RTL designs for security vulnerabilities.  As part of the R&D engineering team, you will be integral to the specification and development of our existing and emerging products.

Our Security Model Analysis Engine operates on the customers design in conjunction with Tortuga Logic Security Model to provide detailed information to identify security vulnerabilities in a chip design. We are seeking Software Developers experienced in tools for implementation or analysis of digital circuits.  You may have experience in logic optimization, simulation or formal verification. As an expert software developer, you have knowledge to design efficient netlist data structures and algorithms to operate on them, which scale to handle computationally large problems.  You do not need to be an expert in security concepts, but you will become one.

Necessary qualifications:

  • Expert level engineer with a minimum of 10 years of proficiency in algorithms and data structures for digital logic in the domains of Simulation, Synthesis or Formal Verification or similar products
  • Deep knowledge in design and architecture of efficient, scalable software systems and data structures to support compilation of billion gate designs
  • Experience in multi-threading, multi-tasking and job distribution to support analysis and netlist transformations to minimize runtime and memory footprint
  • Expert programming and debug skills in C/C++.
  • Ability to operate in a small team and be an effective communicator.

Tortuga Logic, an SoC level cybersecurity company is seeking a Software Engineer for our Silicon Valley office, to work closely in our R&D team in the development and delivery of unique & innovative products to address the growing need for secure SoC designs. At Tortuga Logic, we help the world’s leading SoC design companies to identify security vulnerabilities at the hardware/software boundary. Our proprietary technology will pinpoint potentially expensive security bugs in SoC silicon before tapeout.

Our software development team is tasked with the development of the software applications that deploy our Tortuga Logic technology to analyze RTL designs for security vulnerabilities.  As part of the R&D engineering team, you will be integral to the specification and development of our existing and emerging products.

The Tortuga Logic Toolkit provides our customers the method to setup and run our products from a Graphic User Interface, a scriptable shell interface, and in batch command line mode. In addition we provide graphical analysis tools to display results of their hardware security verification.  Our ideal candidate is visually creative with knowledge of state of the art tools and techniques for user interface design. You will be part of a team exploring methods to convey security information in text and visual forms.

Our ideal candidate is an experienced User Interface (UI) developer with familiarity with chip design and verification flows.  You have a good understanding of UI product and client/server architecture. We desire independent developers who desire to influence the definition of our product.
