Hiring for position: Hardware Security Engineer

Tortuga Logic CA is seeking a Hardware Security Engineer to work closely with our customer-base on specific hardware projects, support our customers’ use of our software products, and perform hardware-related R&D on our software products. This role is dynamic, with responsibilities including both uncovering security vulnerabilities in customer RTL designs by using our software either remotely or on-site at customer. Some R&D based on customer feedback is also likely in this role. You will report directly to the CEO of the company and work closely with the software development teams and sales staff.

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Engaging in hardware design projects with customers (locally/remotely)
  • Supporting our customers on their use of our software products (locally/remotely)
  • Training customers on their use of our software products (remotely)
  • Collecting frequent feedback from current/prospective users about features, updates, and bug fixes for software developers to add to upcoming software releases
  • Developing test cases for our software products

Necessary qualifications:

  • Expert level engineer with a minimum of 5 years of proficiency in SoC design (Verilog/VHDL/SystemVerilog) and verification methodologies and technologies who has demonstrated experience in the complete design validation cycle, driven to help customers achieve their verification goals (including optionally HW/SW or security)
  • Willing to travel to work with clients
  • Deep knowledge in one or several of the following technical areas is a plus: Functional coverage, UVM, IP and VIP design, low level software, key protocols (AMBA, USB, Ethernet)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent field
  • A background in Computer Security or familiarity with Computer Security topics


Hiring for position: Software Developer

Location: San Diego, CA

Tortuga Logic, a cybersecurity company located in San Diego, CA is seeking a full-time software developer to join a growing software development team that produces high quality software products for our customers. This role is includes writing, testing, and deploying software to enterprise clients with various environments. You will be a part of a small team (< 10) of engineers, led by our Lead Software Developer.

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Development of complex algorithms in Java and C++

  • Gain a thorough understanding of our products and how they are used by our customer in order to produce coherent, relevant, and efficient user interfaces

  • Maintenance of existing features in software products

  • Development of automated unit tests and participation in QA activities

Necessary qualifications:

  • 3-5 years industrial experience developing customer-facing software products (C/C++/Java/other)

  • Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Programming

  • A creative approach to analysis, decision-making, issue resolution and problem solving, and an ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others

  • Comprehension of software design lifecycle, from development to deployment

  • Linux/Unix OS experience

  • Mastery of English language

  • Experience with version control systems such as Git

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent field

  • Ability to work with complex build systems

Hiring for position: Executive Assistant / Office Manager

Location: San Diego, CA

Tortuga Logic, a cybersecurity startup located in San Diego, CA is seeking an Executive Assistant / Office Manager to work closely with our executive staff and support the day-to-day operations at our headquarters in San Diego, CA. This role will start as a part time position, with the potential for full time employment. You will report directly to the COO of the company.

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Engaging in administrative support for executive staff, including but not limited to: calendar scheduling, email, mail, running payroll, fax, scan, and expense reporting to our bookkeeper

  • External communications on behalf of executive staff

  • Planning, scheduling, and executing events such as team-building activities and internal meetings

  • Organizing and booking travel

  • Ordering office supplies

Necessary qualifications:

  • Experience performing office manager / assistant duties in previous role(s)

  • Exceptional communication and organization skills

  • Personable and able to handle requests from multiple executives

  • Self-starter personality that is proactive with responsibilities of the role

  • Excited to work at a fast-paced and fun startup environment
